Jasper
Jasper is a variety of Chalcedony. It is usually brown in color but can also be found in shades of grey, blue, white, purple, pink, red, orange, and yellow. The name Jasper means spotted or speckled stone.
The speckles are caused by the inclusion of mineral, ash, or sediment within the structure of the crystal. Jasper carries an energy, or vibration of peace, calm, and tranquility. It confers patience and understanding on all who connect with it. Jasper is also widely held to be a very nurturing stone, bringing comfort and reassurance to the wearer or bearer as well as feelings of optimism and freedom from fear.
